Count of Krigsvold Fellowship Supports Conservation Research

Peter I Island, Westarctica–The Count of Krigsvold, in partnership with the Grand Duchy of Westarctica, proudly announces the establishment of the Count of Krigsvold Fellowship. This annual award provides a $1,000 grant to support graduate students conducting research in climate change and global conservation.

Open to Master’s and PhD students worldwide, the Fellowship reflects Westarctica’s deep commitment to fostering scientific research and environmental stewardship. Applicants must submit a cover letter, a one-page research abstract, and a curriculum vitae by March 1. The recipient will be announced on May 1, with funds disbursed for use in the following academic year.

The Count of Krigsvold, James Howard, is a mathematician and data scientist with extensive expertise in computational science, public policy, and public health. A lifelong advocate for environmental conservation, he sponsors the Fellowship as part of his broader commitment to advancing scientific understanding and promoting sustainable solutions for global challenges.
