Applications Open for 2026 Count of Krigsvold Fellowship

Peter I Island, Westarctica–The Count of Krigsvold, in collaboration with the Grand Duchy of Westarctica, announces the opening of applications for the 2026 Count of Krigsvold Fellowship. The program provides a $1,000 award to support graduate-level research focused on climate change, environmental protection, and global conservation.

The Fellowship is open to Master’s and doctoral students from any country. It is intended to encourage rigorous, forward-looking research that contributes to the preservation of natural systems and the development of sustainable approaches to environmental challenges.

Applications will be accepted beginning March 1, 2026, with all materials due by April 10, 2026. Applicants should submit a cover letter, a one-page research proposal, and a curriculum vitae. The selected Fellow will be announced on May 1, and funding will be available for the upcoming academic year.

The Count of Krigsvold, James Howard, is a mathematician and data scientist whose work spans computational science, public policy, and public health. He sponsors the Fellowship as part of an ongoing effort to support scholarship that addresses complex environmental problems with analytical and practical rigor.
